Computing has been at the core of Digital Revolution (also known as Third Industrial Revolution) since latter half 20th century. Progress on approximate computing promising for data storage and processing associated with recent advancements in artificial intelligence big data. It is our great pleasure to introduce guest editors this special issue IEEE Nanotechnology Magazine computing: Dr. Jie Han Weiqiang Liu, who are experts field high-performance computing, Prof. Shao-Ku Kao, Chang Gung University, Toshiya Sakata, University Tokyo, serve associate issue.
